Accordi is a brand new podcast dedicated to the world of classical music. In each episode, Marianne Schmocker (host) brings together international industry experts including musicians, artists, composers, presenters, and representatives from record labels to share their experiences and insights. We hear stories about inspiration and life behind the scenes. Whether you're a seasoned classical music lover or new to the genre, the Accordi podcast is sure to inform, entertain, and inspire.

Design elements

The logo is a clever array of some beauitful musical interpretation. First of all, the shape of the a (for accordi), works nicely to bring it in line with the name. The shape itself is designed to look like a clef - a musical register notation guide. The two musical note heads are representative of musical form, pulling together in conversation, almost as if the two not heads are in dialogue.

The green background is actually a close up photograph of one of my records - Beethovens Emperor Concerto - with a green overlay.

Setting up with podcast service - Spotify for Podcasts

Choosing the right podcast service was a challenging task. First and foremost, we had to consider Mariannes preferred platform for accessing content. The struggle was to balance between features, convenience, and budget, all while ensuring the chosen service aligns seamlessly with our podcasting preferences and needs.

Once set up we also need to organise distribution to different platforms - Amazon, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Google Podcasts, iHearRadio, Overcast, Pocket Casts, RadioPublic

Developing the web experience

Linked to Mariannes website is the Accordi Podcast portal where users can listen to the latest episode and read about what is going on in the Accordi podcast word. There is also the option to embed this podcast on your website.
